Walked onto the platform at Hazelhatch today (after buying my ticket) to be greeted with a banner on the Down platform, clearly in line of sight of the sole entrance, extolling the benefits of the Kildare Route project.
This close to a general election, this is pure electioneering on the part of Irish Rail in favour of the existing parties and as such is wholly inappropriate. Such practices must be banned, with any penalty applied for doing same being applied to State body staff and not the State body, as the latter is paid for by the taxpayer.
