You would think that with the amount of rain in Ireland, they would know how to run public transport when it rains.

What they actually do, in addition to whinge about not having enough buses, is run buses, empty, out of service during rush hour, thereby artificially reducing capacity and adding to the gridlock already in place.

The DB inspector who was at the 90 bus stop when I arrived, became conspicuous by her absence as soon as the queue started to appear and the buses didn’t.

Of course, in the absence of an integrated ticketing system, which would allow the use of any bus to get from the city centre to Heuston Station, one must wait for the non existent 90/91/92, whilst other buses taking the exact same route to Heuston sail by practically empty.

3 cyclists on reserved track on Steevens Lane. Cyclists on the LUAS line represent a far bigger danger than an able bodied individual unencumbered by a bike.

Observed a Dublin Bus driver using a mobile phone whilst driving today. What chance of him being prosecuted. But then, one of Bertie’s pals in the trade union movement would be upset by this.
